CHAMPION

First and foremost if your a Patriots fan, you have got to have seen this video already! If not check it out before you go any further!

Click to see the full video

Now if your adrenaline isn’t pumping after that, you may have to check your pulse. After coming across that video on the web, we just had to reach out and get the inside scoop. Who are these two individuals that just made a hit song that positively speaks about our beloved New England Patriots. With all the controversy and lashings we have taken as a team the past year Brandon Capp and Randy Lo delivered just what New England fans needed.

We were fortunate enough to get in touch and work with the guys. Hearing and seeing the video online wasn’t enough. As always we wanted to give everyone the reasons behind it and show everyone who these two are. After sitting down with Brandon and Randy every lyric in that song meant so much more. Empowering a whole region with one track isn’t the easiest thing to accomplish.

Some want to know how or why they decided to make the song in the first place. The idea originally came from Brandon’s road manager. Now since Brandon has had his feet in the industry already previously performing at the 2015 Kiss concert along with artists such as Neyo, Tyga, Flo-rida and Big Sean, he knew if something like this was going to be done it was going to have to be done right. After long debate he decided to go for it and see what happened. First thing was he knew a rapper was going to  have to be part of the song so Brandon brought in his high school friend and underground rapper Randy Lo.

Randy has been working on music, dropped out of college in November to pursue music full time. Two months later as a side project this was going to be the first thing he released to the public. “This isn’t anything that would we put on either of our albums, just a fun project that went viral.” “For me this was a very validating moment considering it was the first thing I ever put out.” Randy explained to us.

During conversation we learned that the whole song was created right in a bedroom. These guys started from scratch and put together what possibly could be the best team anthem ever. This is a track we wouldn’t mind playing the car while driving or in your headphones while at the gym. Brandon and Randy really hit it out the park, the words and punch lines are perfect for what New England has experienced. Once the track was recorded and they were happy with the outcome the fun part was about to start.

Brandon and Randy put a crew together and headed out to Gillette Stadium. The idea was to record the music video out in the lot while fans tailgated before the game. What they didn’t expect was all the love and support from the fans there. If you’ve seen the video then you know that they had success in the making of the video.

What’s next for these guys? They are both going to continue with their solo careers but will always remember and love this fun project that went viral. With the Patriots going into the AFC Championship, this song is definitely a huge positive influence for both the team and the fans. We hope to see Brandon and Randy on a float after the boys bring home the trophy!

Here’s a little Brandon had to say:

What do you hope comes out of the song Champion?

I feel that ourselves as well as the Patriots have already benefited from the song in a positive way. Especially considering the amount of love and support the fans have showed and all of the major Radio Stations in New England spinning the song. I would like to see that continue and If we win the Super Bowl perform the song at the Victory Parade!

Where do you see yourself as an artist in 5 years?

I see myself as one of the biggest stars in the industry!

Describe Brandon Capp in one sentence.

Someone who stands for something,  Someone who doesn’t put his destiny in other people’s hands, Highly motivated, Determined, and Entertaining.

Here is a little Randy Lo had to say:

Where do you see yourself as an artist in 5 years?
Traveling the world and Selling out arenas.

What is your next move, career wise?

I just want to keep expanding the “Randy Lo” brand. Im going to put out a solo project in the near future and shoot a lot more videos.
Make sure to go and FOLLOW these guys, not only for the CHAMPION video but for their talents and influence as individuals in the music industry.

Be alive, Be you.

It was such an inspiration to sit down and work with Vinny Mwano. When we spoke before and while we shot it was clear to us that Vinny was a motivated yet passionate person. A lot of his passion comes from his own life. Being born in the Congo and coming here with his family, not knowing how to speak our language. “Most families go to movies together or play board games, my family, we danced and from there I just loved it man.” In October of 2010 Vinny and his brother performer on the hit show Dancing with the Stars. At 15 he began teaching, he is now 22 and still chasing his dream every day!

“Dance for me is life, I live for movements.”

Aside from dance, Vinny has put his foot into a few other things. Most importantly he has committed to empowering people, more specifically the youth! He wants our younger generation to know how this world works and to chase their dreams. Be on the look out for some of his upcoming projects.

In the dance world, I see myself myself as someone that appreciates
movements and storytelling. There is nothing more powerful than being able to communicate something so powerful without using any words.
My influence in the dance world, I would say it is being able to share my persecutive of the world or just a message using dance as the medium of
communication. My dance world constant of my dance crew MovementFromAbove, which consist of breakers, trickers, poppin and lockin, animators. Besides my crew, my dance world consist of dancers from all over the world, from breakers, poppin and lockin, modern dancers, contemporary dancers, ballroom dancers, ballet dancer, krump dancers and latin dancers. As you can see, I don’t stick with one group of dancers. I believe that as a dancer, you can automatically connect with other dancers because you share something so deep that non-dancers will never understand. My influences are Michael Jackson, Wade Robson, Ian Eastwood, Nick Demoura, Tight Eyez, Les Twins and Shaquille Worsley.
-Words from Vinny

“What makes you feel alive is what you should be doing everyday and dance makes me feel alive”

Do you know @DEADPHILLY ?

Everyone knows that the industry is saturated with photographers and videographers. So what can you do to stand out? How do you not just fade into the sea of photographers out there? Well we found someone who is a little bit different than your everyday photographer.

Going through IG one day and we came across @deadphilly . His style was dope and his photos spoke for themselves. Through his travels he has been able to capture some of the coolest places around. Getting into abandoned unused buildings, places that may have been forgotten about already. As torn down and dirty some of these places may be he finds a way of making art of it.

Although being a concert photographer is his primary gig, he definitely likes to sneak in locations and see what we can shoot session!

We had a few questions for Conor, although we didn’t expect him to spill all his secrets we are glad with the information he did share! Enjoy the images he supplied us with and make sure to go and check him out on the gram!

Do you consider yourself a photographer or an artist? Why?
I personally consider myself an artist, I think that I work as a photographer and a videographer but I think the creative drive that I have and the ideas I try to communicate through my personal projects is art.
What and where would you say was the dopest place you shot?
I’m a huge fan of heights so I’d probably say the cranes I’ve hit are my favorites but I always love a good abandoned school.
What do you look for in a location when you shoot and how do you find them?
My friends and I do hours of research before going to a location, I’ve personally experienced what happens when you don’t know all the important details of a spot and do not recommend it. Usually someone will pitch an idea or a spot they’ve heard of or driven by then we will try to find someone who has gone or who knows something about it, if we don’t know anyone who has then we have to google it and find out the status of the location, like whether its under construction, its hours of use or any security. We look for decay, great views and minimal graffiti if possible.
How did you get into taking such unique photos?
It was all about the thrill for me, I got really into photography again when I started working as a concert photographer and I watched a lot of the photographers I looked up to in the concert photo world start doing more and more urbex and I immediately knew thats what I wanted to be doing. Eventually I just hit a few of them up and we started going out and shooting these locations together, the thrill of shooting these locations coupled with the amazing art that comes out as a finished product had me hooked from the beginning.
Are there any places you have not yet been to that you would like to?
Oh yeah, of course there are I have a few cities I’m planning trips to hit and a few spots on my list but I can’t be blowing up spots before I’ve even had the chance to shoot them haha.
What is your weapon of choice (camera gear of course)?
I use a canon t3i and my lens of choice is a 17-55 2.8, I’m upgrading to the Sony a7s in a few weeks though which will be a nice change.

Since you know the car inside and out we wanted to let you get to know the man behind the wheel a little bit, after all we all share the same interests when it come to the industry.

When did your passion for cars start?

I’ve always been fascinated by anything mechanical since I was a young kid. When i got my first car at 16, I knew that cars would be a hobby I would have for life.

Why did you choose the car you have or did it choose you?
When I first purchased my Accord, I had no plans to modify it. I was looking for a comfortable 4dr sedan with leather seats and a V6 engine. Once I had the car, I started looking into simple stereo upgrades, and the rest is history.
What mods do you have planned next for your ride?
I like to change things up a bit every season. I will be completing some further interior mods, and am also looking into a vinyl wrap for 2016.
What is the greatest moment you have experienced with your car?
My greatest moment was winning the PASMAG Tuner Battlegrounds competition with my car in 2015. As a result of this win, my car was featured in an issue of PASMAG this past summer which was a dream come true for me to have my car featured in a huge magazine like that.
Are you a hands on guy or is all your work done at a shop?
I completed most of the work on the car myself. I worked with Hi End Customs in Malden, MA to complete the custom trunk display, but other than that all the mechanical and cosmetic work on the car was completed by me.
Is there anyone you would like to give thanks or shout out?
First I would like to thank my TeamECR Family for all their love and support in getting the build to where it’s at today. Also would like to thank my sponsors: Hi End Customs, Toyo Tires, Meguiars, R1 Concepts, Odyssey Battery and Truhart Suspension. Last but not least, thanks to my friends and family for all their support and ideas.

Jessica Hien

We had the privilege of working with the lovely Jessica Hien. Some of you may know her from the gram, some may have seen her at import shows around the country and some may not know her at all, so here she is.

Jessica had been brought to our attention about a year ago and we had set our sights on shooting with her some day. It just so happened we were able to link up with her this past summer through mutual friends and got the opportunity to get some shots of her. Since then we have stayed in touch and finally had some time to set something up.

To say the least, Jessica is a ton of fun to be around, she is a grounded, beautiful (soon to be) 21 year old woman, but don’t let her age fool you, she has the ambition of ten men! Her crazy cool personality puts Jess in a class of her own. Being able to spend some time with her really made us become even bigger fans that we already were. She has great advice and her positivity was hugely contagious. This girl has got a lot going for her and we are positive this world will know Jessica Hien in so many more ways than just modeling in the future.

Make sure you check her out on FB and IG and keep an eye out for her new cosmetic line dropping soon J’orr Cosmetics.

We had some questions for Jessica, here is what she had to say….

Name – Jessica Hien

Age – 20
Ethnicity – Cambodian & Chinese
Hometown – Philadelphia, PA

Why did you become a model?
FUNNY story.. When I was 18 I went through a bad break up. My boyfriend, at the time was big into the car scene & we went to almost every show/meet together. When we broke up, as revenge I wanted him to see my face and hear my name throughout the industry and know he f*cked up haha .. Besides that, my uncle & his friends who I’ve grown up with are all into the industry as well and looking at their import tuner subscriptions every week for the latest cover model, I knew I wanted that to be me!

Who would you say has been your role model?
My role model.. Has definitely been @jmartinez21 of @TunerEvo, Model @msemkayvee, & the multitalented @killronin. They were the first people to take me under their wings within this industry and they’ve shown me that no matter how tough or unfair the industry is, to stay grounded, humble, work hard, pick yourself up when fallen, never give up, and simply have fun.

Favorite color?
Purple.. No no wait, gold & black.. And Aqua… I can’t choose just one!

What is your favorite food?
Everything that doesn’t have sour cream and mushroom on it .. Yuck!

What are your goals in life?
To have a career that I’m not only successful in, but happy as well, and being able to let my mom retire early.

Give us your favorite experience as a model.
My favorite experience would probably be meeting fans at shows. There’s no greater feeling then knowing people are excited to see you, meet you, and even just get to hug you. It’s Like… “HEYYY! loveeee me, I love you!”

Do you have any advice for aspiring models out there?
Don’t let anyone or anything discourage you, also don’t let ANYTHING get in your way of getting what you want. You have to really be hungry for it & have fun with it at the same time. Confidence is key.

Aside from our questions. Tell us a little about yourself.
You can ask Shaun Garcia (SGPsociety) himself, I’m a 4’11 little girl who has a big appetite & a big heart! Hahaha just kidding.. Let see.. Most people know that I started my first business at 18 with my Vape Juice line called “Vape Babe” and now at 21, I’m dropping my own cosmetics line! I can’t keep still. I’ve done everything from making pizza’s at dominos, to serving ramen, to working at Vape shops, bottle service, nails, etc! My favorite motto to live by is ” hustle until you no long have to introduce yourself ”

Last but not least are their any people you would like to shout out?

My mom! Hi mama, I made it! Most of all, My family out in Philly & Long Beach. Kevin, Smilee, David, Steven, Nancy, Phillip, Emily & Amanda, Ricky, Jess El, Favy, Chris, Jennifer & many more! Ricky shucks, my modeling manager who has had my back and answered all of my phone calls regardless what time of the day knowing we’re on opposite coasts! Love you! Last but not least, my favorite power couple Shaun and Angela for giving me this opportunity to be the first featured model of @SGPsociety. You guys are the best! I’m forever thankful. It’s been a long journey and I’ve only made it this far due to the amount of love and support you’ve all kept me grounded with. All my friends in & out the industry, photographers, fans, and supporters. You all don’t know how much of an impact your love & support as made on me. MUWAH!
